What Causes Burning Sensation Along The Spine?

I m having heavy soreness down my entire spine, shoulders, and neck like its all inflamed. That s a weak area for me since a brain aneurysm ruptured 9 years ago. I also feel weak and have a 96 degree temp (normally 98.6), no energy. Could this be a virus? Thanks. Jan

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These can be due to muscular spasms, however, cervical spondylosis needs to be ruled out. Fresh X-ray spine may be needed along with oral OTC analgesic like acetaminophen and muscle relaxants like Orphenidine or Tizaindine. If symptoms persist detailed evaluation with CT scan etc., and neurosurgical review may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
