What Causes Burning Sensation Above The Ankle After A Foot Biopsy?
I was given an injection of, I think 8ccs, of lanacane for a foot biopsy. I m experiencing a burning sensation just above the ankle of that foot along with a bad taste in my mouth and an irritable feeling in the throat. Are these side effects serious and how long does it usually take for them to clear up? Thank you
Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.
This bad taste might be due to stomach upset because of the pain killer tablets they usually give after the procedure this is a normal side effect and usually is self limiting there is nothing to worry about I would suggest you not to panic give it two three days avoid smoking, coffee, caffeine and fizzy drinks every thing should be fine.
I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you. Regards.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
