What Causes Burning And Throbbing In The Testicle?

My boyfriend was stung by wasps 9 times about 5 hours ago. The sites where he was stung are puffy, raised, and are causing him some discomfort. He took some Benadryl and I applied a baking soda paste. Now he is saying that his right testicle is burning and he is noticing throbbing as well. Should we take additional steps?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of your boyfriend being stung by wasps 9 times. You have done the right thing by giving Benedryl and applying Baking soda.
The general body reaction caused by wasp poison might have caused the edema inside the scrotum hence the pain.
I think he needs steroids and anti-inflammatory medicines.
Consulting and getting investigated and examined by a Doctor in the ER and ultrasonography to rule out torsion is very important as this may need timely intervention ..
I find this answer helpful
