What Causes Bumps On My Armpit?

Hi! I get arm pit bumps a lot. I often squeeze them because it releases the pus and discomfort. I also get them between my legs. I stop eating meat, I don t shave, I don t use deodorant, and my bumps went away. Today I ate some pasta with chicken broth and I found 3 bumps under my arm! Is it the meat I am eating or is there any medication I can take for this problem to go away? This has been going on for 5 years now

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a swollen lymph node or other infective causes like hideradenitis. A short course of antibiotics can be considered empirically. If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. If there is diagnostic confusion an ultrasound scan can be taken.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
