Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have bumps in between my legs there s some small dime size ones and I had two one under my left buttock and its going away there s one on the inner thigh that looks like dime size but when you pinch the skin around it it s little bigger that golf ball .
Skin over the groin and thigh are more amount of sebaceous glands which secretes sebum to maintain the moisture of the skin. Sweat glands also seen along with the sebaceous glands. These secretions should be drained properly without any obstruction. Since there is excess moisture comparing to other areas, infections are more common in these glands.
Infection of the glands leads to breakout of the skin results in folliculitis, hydradenitis, cellulitis, etc. The management of the lesions includes proper self hygiene, oral and topical antibiotics. Use dry clothes to reduce moisture. Tight clothing also affects the natural conditions. Visit the surgeon for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pradeepraj, General & Family Physician
