General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Head injury associated with loss of consciousness need to be monitored keenly. Sometimes, a simple X-RAY is not enough to know whether brain tissue injury and requires MRI/CT-scan depending on the patient condition. Feeling dizzy, pain and headache is common after head injury these are called as post concussion symptoms and may last for 4 weeks post trauma. Consider visiting your family doctor after 4 weeks of trauma. Give yourself ample of rest and sleep for good recovery. Get back to your regular physical activities slowly not all at once. After 4 weeks pain and other symptoms subside, if you don’t see symptoms subsiding over this time or feel your condition is getting bad you may see a doctor sooner than 4 weeks. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
