What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge?

Hi, I had sex two days ago (unprotected). Six hours after intercourse, i used the restroom and saw that i has some blood in my panties. I thought that maybe I was too dry during sex. Today, I used the restroom and i saw that I have a brownish discharge coming out of me. I figured it was just old blood but my boyfriend insist that I am pregnant. Is he right?

Hello, your history is incomplete, you did not mention about your last menustrual period date and wheather your periods are regular. Yes when the vagina is dry during sexual intercourse, it may lead to vaginal inflammation and sometimes bleeding.Discharge is quite common following intercourse. If the act has happened in less than 72 hours, and if you are in ovulation period and want to prevent any unwanted pregnancy, then i would suggest you to take emergency contraceptive pill. If the discharge is profuse with fowl smell or itching, then you may have to consult your gynaecologist to rule out infections. Hope i was helpful to you.
