What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge After My Sleeve Gastrectomy?

I had my sleeve gastrectomy done one week ago todsy, and yesterday I noticed a brown vaginal discharge. I have no pain or itching. I have done lots of research, and many people have experienced it, and when they talked to their doctors, they say it isn t anything to be worried about, but should I be worried about it?

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1) First of all do not panic.
2) It can be due to changes in hormonal levels that control your menstrual cycles. This can happen due to stress on your body during surgical procedure. You need not worry about it.
Please keep watch on your next menstrual cycle, if there is any abnormality noted then please seek help from your gynecologist.
3) Please opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regime.

I hope my answer helps you.
Thanks.
Wish you good health.
With regards
Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar
