Well yesterday I was spotting brownish colored blood off and on, then this morning when I woke up I started what looked like a normal period but instead is brownish reddish in color, I have clots here and there, but in not having a cramping or anything like that...my boyfriend did inject in me twice but a it s only been a week since that happened and I m not supposed to start my period for another week...I don t know what s going on I ve never had this happen before...
You need to take a pregnancy test by 10 days of missed period. Right now, it may be a little early leading to false negative results. Brownish discharge before the onset of period is normal. This could be dried blood or blood from previous cycles. You can wait for few more days for your cycles to start.
Any history of smelly or excess vaginal discharge should be noted to rule out vaginal infections. Vaginal infections can also cause brownish discharge and antibiotics may be required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
