What Causes Brownish Discharge From The Nipple?
I have been taking cinnamon capsules for about 2 months- 1000 mg per day, but I only take 500mg. In the past I have had an occasional clear discharge from my nipple. In the past 5 days I have noticed it is brownish. I had my yearly gyn exam in March and a clear mammogram. I do self breast exams, and there are no lumps. Is it possible the cinnamon could be causing this? I have a call into my gyn, but thought maybe I could see what you think. Thank you, Susan

Hello,
Cinnamon is not supposed to give nipple discharge. You should recheck breasts by ultrasound or mammography. Also, the check of the prolactin hormone level is necessary.
