Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband was diagnosed with vertigo this afternoon & has been vomiting for 14 hours. The vomit is now brown in color, like beef broth. He was hydrated at the hospital, but still can't keep anything down.Is the color of the vomit something to be concerned about?
The color of vomit indicates possible gastric erosion or bleed from an ulcer. Immediate evaluation with upper GI endoscopy, once the vital parameters settled and suggested.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
