What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Having Sex During Ovulation?
Hello, my fiance and i have been trying to get pregnant for a few months and i have been using an ovulation test kit also. After ovulation and intercourse, usually the next day, i get a dark brown discharge for a few days or so. I am just wondering what this could be.

A few days of spotting (dried brown blood mixed in with discharge) after intercourse may just be a bit of spotting from intercourse. As the penis rubs the cervix, it can cause a bit of bleeding. Ovulation can cause a bit of spotting as well.
If you are spotting at times not related to intercourse, you may be having a bit of abnormal bleeding. Abnormal bleeding can be caused by many things like infections, stress, change in activity, change in diet, tobacco use, etc. Most of these causes are not dangerous, so women can generally wait a month or two to see if the spotting goes away. If not, seeing a medical provider for a physical exam is the next step.
