Copper T contains hormonal content which may cause some side effects Some of the complications of copper T insertions are Increased menstrual bleeding Cramps. Nausea. Backache. Vaginal discharge. Inflammation of the vagina. Pelvic infection (uterus), which usually happens within three weeks after insertion. Ectopic pregnancy (egg implanting outside the womb) – very small risk but very serious. Kindly consult a gynecologist who may treat you with antibiotics and pain killers or may suggest removal of copper T if infection cannot be controlled with antibiotics.
