Hi, for the last month or so I have been experiencing a lot of brown discharge it lasts for a few days then goes away. I went to my gp today over having pain under my ribs and he said it s due to extra acid in my stomach. Leading to me feeling very sick but thought this was due to the acid. I never thought but they are now happening at the same time. Could this be a sign of pregnancy?
You should know that gastric symptoms (e.g. irritation, abdominal bloating, gas, eructation, burning sensation, etc.) are also related to hormonal imbalances. For example, when a woman is pregnant she also presents with various gastric symptoms due to the hormonal surge that takes place during pregnancy.
Although I doubt pregnancy in your case, I am sure there is some hormonal imbalance involved. And so I would recommend getting your hormone levels checked when you visit your doctor which should also establish a link with the gastric symptoms you are enduring. Once the hormonal imbalance is confirmed, finding the cause for the hormonal imbalance will help save the day. Some common causes are infections, birth control pills, soon approaching menopause, stress, medications, etc.
Best wishes.
