Hello ma'am and welcome.

Ruling out pregnancy would be wise and I would recommend going ahead with it, either by visiting your doctor for a serum test or if i.e. inconvenient then a home pregnancy test using an early morning urine sample to be conducted at least 2 weeks from the suspected date of sexual contact or on or after the second day of a missed period.

If at all pregnancy is effectively ruled out, then suspecting infections, birth control, trauma during secual contact, other causes for a hormonal imabalance should be considered and ruled out.

Best wishes.
