General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello!
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
In my opinion you have Dyspnea (breathlessness- which is the feeling associated with impaired breathing) due to your High blood pressure. Dyspnea can be caused by many different conditions such as Cardiac ,Pulmonary ,Mixed cardiac and pulmonary disorders and Non-cardiac or non-pulmonary disease.Cardiac causes of dyspnea include:
-left ventricular hypertrophy
-asymmetric septal hypertrophy
-congestive heart failure
-recent or remote myocardial infarction
-pericarditis and arrhythmias
Having High blood pressure for a long time can cause Left ventricular hypertrophy and congestive heart failure.Other factors to be considered including obesity and also if you are taking Beta blockers to control your Hypertension. This drug might exacerbate bronchospasm or limit exercise tolerance.Considering your age i would prefer to exclude heart disease by doing some investigation ssuch as ECG and Heart Ultrasound.
I suggest to consult your doctor and express him all your concerns.
Hope you get better.
Best Regards!
