What Causes Breathlessness And Nausea?

I was eating rice & pork & all of a sudden I could not breathe, got some hick caps so I drink juice. Then I was gasping for my breathe & got nausea & suddenly I feel I could not see for a few seconds. My chest seems like it is going to explode. Then I tried to cough & slimy saliva would come out. What causes this occurance.

Hi Welcome to HCM
Breathlessness and hiccups while eating food can be due to Foreign body from the food obstructing your airways.Drugs like Baclofen and pantoprazole,Domperidone will help to combat your syptoms. If he problem is recurrent the it could be allergic reaction.Get an X ray chest and peak expiratory flow rates of your lung.In refractory cases Low dose steroids can be useful. If your symptoms are with the same food everytime, avoid eating those foods.Drink 3-4litres of water per day.Take frit juices regularly.Breathing exercises daily will help you prevent recurrences.consult your chest physician for expert management
Thankyou
