What Causes Breast Electric Shock Feelings Since The Baby S Demise?

I m trying to stop breast milk by putting the cabbage on my breast since my baby passed away at the age of 3 days old. I used cabbage until last Sunday cos my breast didn t hurt anymore. I stopped putting the cabbage for 2 days. The third day ( yesterday) until now, i feel the upper part of my left breast has electric shock feeling. So I tried to put the cabbage back again. However, the electric shock feeling on my left breast still occurs once a while like every 1-2 hours since yesterday morning. The feeling is at the same spot on my left breast. I m wondering if it s normal or should I go to check with gynecologist? I did ECG before my delivery on Sept, 13rd and the result is normal. Since it s the left breast so i m not sure whether it s the breast or the heart. worry..

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Such a sensation is normal ecpecially with the increase in size of the breast, it will surely subside in a while do not worry. I am extremely sorry to hear about your baby, but please be patient things should return to normal.

Your body shall soon return to normal, and you can start trying to conceive again once you are ready for it. I do not really know how a cabbage can help, but if this is your personal belief then I am no one to interfere with that. Speak to your gynecologist and she will put forward steps to follow, to recover completely (physically at least).

Grief can also sometimes mimic cardiac symptoms, but I am sure you are a healthy strong woman. This should be related to the breast tissue and not the heart.
