What Causes Breakthrough Bleeding And Cramps Long After Treating Fibroid Cysts?

I m a 47yo female w/history of fibroid cysts. I have a regular menstrual cycle and am not on any birth control or hormone replacement of any kind due to a 20+ year history of migraines that s now controlled by nasal lidocaine gel quarterly injections (Sphenocath). However, this last month has been different in that I had a regular period & then about 2weeks later I started to (& am currently) having breakthrough bleeding and cramping like the beginning of my period would normally feel & ive had bad headaches & backache as well. Help!!

Hi,

The simple reason for cramps can be menopause symptoms or nutritional deficiency or lack of exercise.

Other causes are :

1. Diabetes - check your Blood sugar
2. Blood Pressure - check your blood pressure
3. Anemia - blood iron level, Vit D3 level, B12 level
4. Hypo or Hyperthyroid Check for any hormonal imbalance.
5. Cardiac diseases - chest X-ray and ECG to find any issue with your Lung or Heart.
6.obesity

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr S.R.Raveendran, Sexologist
