What Causes Bowels During Nights In A Child With Soreness In Penis?

My 6 year old son gets up every 5 minutes when it s bedtime to go to the toilet for about an hour. I keep telling him off thinking that hes being naughty, but he says that he cannot help it. When he does go not much comes out, but he says that the urge is really strong. He is also complaining that his penis is sore

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Is there any fever, loose stools or dysuria? This can suggests either a bowel infection (usually will have loose stools also) or urine infection(may have associated frequency, dysuria and urgency). Depending on the associated symptoms as mentioned, this might need urine routine testing or antibiotic treatment. Kindly discuss with your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
