Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking a mixture of lemon garlic and ginger root blended to a liquid for the past couple of days I have been breaking out with hives and tonight I took it and my lips swelled up will they go down on there own or do I have to take some kind of medicine
If it started after taking this mixture of lemon garlic and ginger root blend then it can be probably due to any of the constituents of this mixture..
So my suggestion is to stop taking this supplement and see if the symptoms improve..
If not you can take antiallergics like Levocetrizine or Allegra.. Do cool compresses over the lips..
If still there is no improvement consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.. In that case you should undergo allergic testing to rule out the exact cause of the allergic reaction..
Once the allergen is ruled out avoid exposure to it to prevent the symptoms from occurring..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
