What Causes Body Rashes Along With Sore Throat And Runny Nose?

All three of my grandchildren have broken out with clusters of welts, sore throats and runny nose. None have run fever and feel fine. The bumps itch. They have all been vaccinated for chicken pox. The 5 year old received her shot last Tuesday. The other children are 10 and 9.

There are many viruses causing rashial illness. If children are vaccinated against chicken pox, it could be because of some other virus. There is no need to be worried as these are self limiting illness and resolved within a period of 7 to 10 days. You just need to maintain good hydration and nutrition of children. You can give antipyretic like paracetamol and antihistaminics like cetrizine for symptomatic relief.
