What Causes Body Pain And Vomiting After Taking Mucinex?
My daughter had an upper respiratory infection with a severe cough, no fever for 10 days. I took her to the walk in where her strep test was negative. She was given a prescription for her cough and told to take mucinex. At 5am she awoke saying her entire body hurt, she was freezing despite using a heating blanket and proceeded to start vomiting as well as spiking a 102 1 fever. Now she has broken out with a rash. Is this the flu or something worse and could she have picked it up at the walk in that quickly.

A rash is indicating an allergy, could be due to Mucinex or even the virus that has caused a bad cough.
High temperature with vomiting is due to pneumonia (lung infection when the lower lobe of lungs is affected). X-ray and respiratory function test to run further.
She might need to get hospitalized and put on intravenously treatment to prevent dehydration.
