General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Thyroid hormone levels are low, but your symptoms are not related to thyroid problems but to Nephrotic syndrome. Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disease that is characterized by oedema and loss of protein from the plasma into urine.

To get a treatment for this disease you should confirm the diagnosis first.
To do that you need:
1. Abdominal ultrasound.
2. Urine test.
3. Rapid strep test.
4. Complete blood count.
5. Leukocytes formula.

You should contact your nephrologist.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
