What Causes Blue Spots Under The Skin On Bicep Area?

I have around 5 small blue/purple spots under the skin (2-3mm diameter). These are mainly on the bicep area of the arm. Most of them are flat and but there are a couple which are slightly raised. I have recently been getting a few more of these appear on the body although slightly less noticeable than ones already there. any thoughts on what these could be? willing to send photo if required.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having purpuric rashes.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 30 days.

If problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
