What Causes Bloody Stool Discharge?

Partial left sphincterotomy 10 days ago. Pain has been the same every day after...a couple of days ago blood with very painful bowel movements. Stool is soft. I hurt for 6-7 hours after each bowel movement. Is this normal. What should my recovery timeframe be?

Hi thanks for asking question.

Noted you had history of anal surgery before 10 days.So you had blood in stool because of that.Gradually with healing and resolution of inflammation bleeding will stop.

Meanwhile take care Avoid straining while defecation.

More water.

Fruits and green leafy veg taken more.

Avoid smoking and alcohol.

Brufen like antiinflammatory drug can taken.

If still after few days if your symptoms increasing then stool examination done for pus cell and parasitic egg ...If present treated accordingly.

I hope your concern solved.

Take care.
