General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Blood in urine could be due to urinary tract infection, stone in urinary tract, diabetic nephropathy, prostate enlargement, severe dehydration. Stone and UTI may be associated with pain.

I would suggest to consult the urologist and undergo urine tests, routine and microscopic test, albumin, and urine albumin creatinine ratio. Also blood tests Hb A1c, blood glucose to know the status of diabetes, serum PSA, USG scan and cystoscopy if needed.

Specific treatment will depend on the cause and test result. Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar
