i had a colonoscpy monday 19/10 and this morning 21/10 there was bright red blood in the bowl when i used my bowels for the first time. There was no patholgy needed as nothing was found. This has never happened with any other colonoscpy and there is no pain,
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Experiencing passage of bright red coloured blood in stools post colonoscopy without any pathology indicates mucosal bleeding due to mechanical injury in rectum or anal canal, probably while doing the procedure. Since you don't have pain or any other symptoms, it should subside on its own. Kindly take soft and easily digestible diet and drink good quantity of fluids for the next 4 to 5 days. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
