What Causes Blood In My Stool?

I have had small amounts of blood in my stool which I always related to having upset stomachs but tonight I just had a pretty big amount of bright red blood come out of me. The problem is I had some gas and was urinating at the same time and it's like it fell out of me and I can't tell which exist it really came out of..I just had a baby 5 months ago and haven't had a real period and months but I've been having lower back pain so I thought maybe it was that but when I went to wipe myself it was all over from front to back. I'm unsure if I should go hospital or make an appt. or what

Hello,

If you are not sure from where the blood is coming, then you have to see the doctor.

Now let me explain you the certain condition, if this is the blood from the rectum, then there should be the history of constipation, and if it is from the intestine, then abdominal pain, cramp has to be there prior to defection, with nausea, fatigue.

If this is the bleeding P/V, then you would notice it all along the time without the noticed, seldom it causes the pain with the typical nature of lower abdomen pain, as such it is the history of delivery 5 months back, then bleeding P/V is very likely still you can see the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
