What Causes Blood In Bowels After A Severe Accident?

Hi, I was in a very fast water slide accident 2 weeks ago. I was knocked unconscious for a few moments, hit my feet so hard they immediately swelled and turned blue. My ribs, neck and later my flanks (I have a chronic low back injury, already. I went to a walk in clinic and they called an ambulance and took me to the trauma center. They braced me, and took a ton of X-rays. I was hysterical because of the pain. My rib popped the other day and immediately felt better, though it still hurts I can breath better. Now I have really bad mid-back and mid-side pain. I m not quite sure, but I think I m seeing old blood whenever I have a bowel movement. Today I felt my neck pop and felt a very strong electrical shock from my neck to my leg. It was so surprising and strong I nearly crashed my car and had to pull over. Now when I sit, which is really painful, my neck clicks, or pops with every movement. I m not sure if I need to see a doctor, or who to see. Thanks. Jean

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of a complicated accident involving feet, neck, ribs as explained so well by you.
There is also history of observing old blood in the stool, there is severe pain in the mid back and mid-side, Neck popped, felt electric shock going down to leg, not sure who to see...
Since there is multiple injuries, you must see a Doctor at ER also that all the investigations can be done and a clinical evaluation and examination and its correlation can be done to get you complete treatment.
Old blood in the stool indicates that you have also injury in the colon and hence the following should be done:
Send the sample of stool for examination.
Colonoscopy may be needed.
CT scan helps a lot in such a diagnosis.
