General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Blood in bowel movement could be due to constipation, piles, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroenteritis, polyp. For safer side, I would suggest to consult gastroenterologist ad undergo examination, stool tests, routine blood tests, rectal examiantion, sigmoidoscopy if needed.

Specific treatment will depend on cause. Infection require Ofloxacin plus Ornidazole. Constipation require: syrup creamffin, tablet bisacodyl at bed time. Drink plenty of water. Other specific treatment depend on clinical assessment.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
