What Causes Blood Clot Discharge During Menstruation?
Hello there, i am 22 years old and on day 3 of my period. Unlike every other period i am passing blood clots the size of 50 cent peices. I ve always had very heavy periods since having a baby 18 months ago but mot as heavy as this time.. Please any advice is appreciated.
Heavy periods (menorrhagia) has certain causes to it which need to be diagnosed and treated accordingly and so I would urge you to visit a doctor. Some causes include:
-Uterine fibroids -Hormonal imbalances -Side effect of medications -Intrauterine devices -Birth control pills -Pelvic inflammatory disease -Ovarian dysfunction -Polyps -Bleeding abnormalities And a few others.
There is usually always some underlying cause and when you can treat it, why go through this on a regular basis? Speak to your doctor.
Best wishes.
