What Causes Blood And Mucus In Stool?

Hello
I have been having blood and mucus every time i have to take a dump for quite some time now.

Every morning i wake up and have quite a bit of LIQUID that discharges out of my anus and a lot of gas. My feces are small, and it is hard to take a poo.

I seem to have liquid build up in my anus after drinking any kind of liquid.

What is WRONG???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The presence of blood and mucus in stools may suggest an intestinal infection. I recommend you to do a complete blood count and a stool test to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I recommend using daily probiotics. I also recommend to drink liquids and eat a healthy diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
