What Causes Blisters On The Chest While Suffering From Influenza?

I was diagnosed with influenza b 5 days ago. On the 3rd day my upper chest broke out in tiny blisters & continues to get worse. My dr. told me to continue on the tempa flu and to use Benadryl. That did not help. Could you tell me if this is caused by the influenza or could I be allergic to the tempa flu medication? Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The blisters can be related to an allergic reaction. I recommend continue using Benadryl daily. I also recommend using steroid cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
