What Causes Blisters On The Cheek With Swelling In Lymph Node?

Hi, I ve been chewing tobacco for about 4 years. About 3 week s ago I noticed what looked like a small cluster of pimples on my cheek where I had always put my chew. Ive since switched to the other side of my mouth and the pimples turned into a dull white strip about a cm long that matches my bite. I figured I had just bit my cheek until a couple days ago I realised my lymph node on the same side is swollen. I m 19 years old. I apologize for the long post, any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the white strip of about a cm long where you used to dip tobacco can be due to causes like Frictional Keratosis that is a harmless overproduction of keratin layer over the mucosa as a protective phenomena to prevent damage to mucosa with the friction and chemicals..
Other cause can he Leukoplakia that is also over production of Keratin but there is also disturbance in cells known as cell dysplasia..
It is a Precancerous lesion and needs medical assistance..
Lymph node swelling is generally not seen to be caused due to the white patch and can be due to either chronic infections or Lymphoma formation ..
It also needs examination and if there is any doubt FNAC can be advised..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation and investigations like Biopsy can be done for diagnosis..
In case if it is due to Frictional Keratosis it will get resolved on its own once the tobacco intake is stopped..
In case of Leukoplakia you can be advised Multivitamins and anti oxidants like Lycopene for atleast 2 to 3 months..
It also gets resolved if tobacco intake is completely stopped..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
