What Causes Blisters And Itching Under The Head Of The Penis?
I have blisters under the head of my penis that itch, burn and sometimes tingle as well. I have had herpes in the past so I have been taking Zovirax that I had left over. It is not doing any good. I did also have the tell tale swollen lymph gland in the right groin that did clear up. What has me bothered mostly is that each day when showering, the skin is tearing my penis head from sticking to it as if trying to adhere to it. It started a week ago as an actual tear with no other symptoms during a shower. It bled some and I put some Neosporin on it after getting out of the shower. It has since lingered and has the aforementioned blisters under the foreskin near frenulum and right under the head. Fungal infection? Bacterial infection? Worse??!! And what should I do? Thanks
It may be due to genital herpes. For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, HSV testing, discharge culture after urologist consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. You may require tablet acyclovir after consultation. Avoid sweating. Maintain proper hygiene. Avoid sexual act till complete recovery.
