What Causes Bleeding With Clots Of Blood After Having Intercourse?
while having sex I started bleeding with clots of blood it lasted until the next day with no pain I am a 63 year old woman that had a hysterny in my late 20 s my sex life has just started up again in the last 6 months my husband had cancer and has passed this has never happened it scared me now no blood ? what do I do?
Hello and welcome to HCM, A history of hysterectomy rules out the possibility of bleeding from uterus or endometrium. Thus, the bleeding is most likely from vaginal tract. Presumption of sexual life after a long duration of time could be the possible cause of bleeding. Abrasion or trauma to the vaginal tract can lead to painless bleeding. If the bleeding has stopped then there is nothing to worry. However, if the bleeding recurs, in that case you need to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
