Hi,
Clingen Vaginal suppository contains both
clindamycin and
clotrimazole which is used in the treatment and prevention of various types of vaginal infections by stopping the growth of infection causing agents. Clingen may cause
vaginal itching, burning, dryness, irritation, vaginal bleeding, heavy bleeding during periods, blood in the loose watery stool,
redness of skin etc., as its side effects. It is usually advised by the gynecologists, to avoid sexual intercourses during 7 days of this medication.
But, if you want to do so, then it will be better to use condoms while you are being treated for vaginal infection. If this vaginal bleeding persists for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor first for further evaluation and treatment purposes. Again, you should stop taking this medication after informing your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
