What Causes Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Hi iam 7wks pregnant & i had a ultrasound yesterday there was 8ml blood around the sac ? i have been bleeding and getting period pains since i found out i was pregnant ? But my hormone levels have been going up good , i just want answers is there a chance ican lose this baby ? Please help

I understand your concerns.
Bleeding at this stage of pregnancy is a sign of threatened miscarriage. If the cervix is open then it becomes inevitable miscarriage. Other conditions like molar pregnancy could also be the cause.
Most of the time in the first trimester, this results from chromosomal abnormalities. There is really an increase risk of miscarriage but at times bleeding can stop on its own especially when the cervix is still close.
