What Causes Bleeding During Micturition?

Yesterday when I was watching a movie at cinema, I hold my urine for around an hour before I rush to the toilet to release all out. However, upon reaching the toilet I think I used too much force to release my urine, I felt sudden pain and after a while there were some blood flowing out together with my urine. I felt pain whenever I used the muscle to release the urine. It is bladder inflection or I damaged my the tube that carries my urine?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a bladder infection or a kidney stone.

I suggest doing a urine test and an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
