What Causes Bleeding After The Aortic Valve Replacement?

My husband had open heart surgery nine days ago. Blockage 100% in one 80% in another and 70% in the other. His aortic valve had to be replaced, After surgery he started bleeding and had to be reopened, but no bleeding found. Where did it come from? He was in Intensive care for five days and then got an infection, where did that come from? I get no answers. Urine culture negative. Sputum culture shows profuse growth Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas eriiegenosa . Stain showed many WBC seen, few epithelial cells, many gram negative rods, moderate gram positive cocci resembling Staphylococcus, moderate small gram positive bacilli few gram positive cocci resembling Stpahylococcus. I don t understand,

bleeding after such a major surgery is common.. it usually occurs from the anastomotic site in the new valve and native heart.. good thing was they took care and reexplored and corrected.. infection after such a valve replacement surgery is not a good sign.. because it can infect the new mechanical valve.. this infection in sputum occurs because after surgery patients are on intubation and mechanical ventilators.. the tube inside trachea can lead to infection if proper care is not done..such a gram negative and gram positive infection needs treatment as soon as possible with intravenous antibiotics..
