What Causes Bleeding A Week After Periods Stopped?

Hi, my spouse and I have been trying to conceive for the past 2 months but no luck (pregnancy test were negative). I recently had my period and a week later I began bleeding lightly everyday (light red to brown) for about a week now. I m now in my ovulation window and we would like to try again but is this safe? Could something be seriously wrong?

Hi,

Two months is not a big time if you don't have any medical condition then you can conceive easily, its just a matter of time. If you are in your 20's and wouldn't even conceive for 6 months its normal, and if in the early 30s then it's normal to conceive in a year. You don't need to worry. Sometimes bleeding and brown/white discharge may be the result of sexual intercourse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
