What Causes Black Vomiting And Bowel Movement?

My brother in law has had black vomit and bowl movements since 2 AM this morning. He is 50 years old and is about 220 lbs 6 feet tall. He had a stint put in about 3 years ago. I would guess that he has some internal bleeding but he will not go to the ER. What is your take on his condition?

Hello

thank you for trusting HCM

Dear most probably he is suffering from active peptic ulcer which may cause bleeding lead to black colour vomiting.

other possibilities like esophagitis or esophageal varices or Mallory Weiss tears or boerhoevs syndrome etc..

he may Need upper GI endoscopy and treated accordingly. first he may need to stop NSAIDS . use tab.pantaprazole before breakfast, syrp.sucral 2tsp thrice a day for five days. if symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
