What Causes Bites On The Shoulders, Back And Thigh?

My daughter has bites that are on her shoulder (three in a row) and two on her back and one on her thigh. None feel itchy, but they look very similar to what I ve experienced from bed bugs. Especially given they are in areas that are extremities exposed during sleep, it makes sense these would have been places a bug would have bitten. We also have been at a beach rental for the past 5 days. Thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to bug bites. I suggest giving her Cetirizine in the evening to prevent itching. I also suggest using Hydrocortisone cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
