What Causes Bad Taste In The Mouth After Taking A Depo Shot?

hello. Not long after depo shot I started getting this funny taste in my mouth. Got put on depo and blood pressure medicine the same day I stopped taking bp pills and still have this taste. Could it be depo shot? how long does it take to wear off its starting to get to me?

Yes, depo shots that are a method of contraception are seen to cause metallic taste in mouth that tend to commonly resolve on its own..

As the time will pass on the metallic taste will get better..

However if you have acid reflux problem then it can be a common cause of metallic taste.
For now you can chew flavoured sugarfree chewing gum as it helps in masking the bad taste.
Keep your tongue clean by using tongue cleaner..
Drink plenty of water..
