What Causes Backache After Surgical Removal Of A Melanoma From The Shoulder?

my father had a melanoma removed from his shoulder last spring. They they injected him with a dye and said all is well. He has been suffering from back pain and was told today it was internal melanoma. They didn t talk about organs just that it was through his whole body. Chemo every 3 months for the rest of his life and pet scans. What is this? I don t think I m getting the whole story

Treatment depends on the type of tumor, stage of the tumor, lymph node involvement is there or not, distance metastasis etcetera. If it is already spread to the other organs, need chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Prognosis depends on age, stage of the disease. Please consult your oncologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
