What Causes Back Pain Radiating To The Frontal Part Post Self Injury?

I fell a week ago and hit my left back on a piece of metal. I do not have any bruising, but pain in the left back around the waistline and now radiating toward the front. Could I have injured something inside? I did not loose consciousness, just shortness of breath for a few moments.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to the injury. The pain is normal. I suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day. I also suggest to use cold compresses at the painful area. If the symptoms continue, I recommend to do an X-ray for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
