What Causes Back Pain Post An Appendectomy?

I have been diagnosed with a hernia which the surgeon insists must be removed as soon as possible. In as much as I have had TAVR surgery in April 2016, then have had an emergency appendectomy in October of 2016, then two months ago I had a spinal injection of cortisone to relieve back pain stemming from a back fusion some40 years ago, I feel that my body being 87 years old cannot deal with another recuperation from anasthesia andsurgery repair.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The back pain at this juncture sounds to be muscle spasm related. Primary relief with heating pad application, postural changes, and muscle relaxant tablet will support great.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
