What Causes Audible Voices In Mind?

Yes.. I hear audible voices in my mind on an everyday basis. My doctor has been trying to manage this with Abilify 30 mgs/day & Latuda 80 mgs/day. This has gone on for 3 months now and challenges my every day living. Do u believe this is a symptom of a chemical balance or some mental illness?

I can well understand your concerns. Yes there are many mental illnesses that cause auditory hallucinations and the person hears sounds that cannot be heard by another person in the same room.


Yes it may also be due to chemical imbalance. That chemicals are those ones which function on brain tissue receptors. So its all related from all sides to the brain.


I preferably suggest you to consult a Psychiatrist for in-office complete evaluation and treatment accordingly.

Mental illnesses are same as we get cold or fever. You need treatment and you feel no hesitation. Same way, you are ill and need medications from a specialist who has best expertise and experience in treating such illnesses.
