Hi,

Aphasia is often from brain damage due to a stroke. A new neurological problem such as difficulty opening eyes can be a sign of a new stroke needing immediate treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
